The project’s goal is to improve readiness for the adoption of drone technology in plant protection as soon as legislation permits. One of the biggest obstacles to the widespread use of drone technology in agriculture is managing the entire process of data collection, data transfer, and the organization and coordination of work sites. As a result of the project, an open data collection model and a precision plant protection drone contracting service model will be developed, both of which will be available for public use. EIP group consists of innovative agricultural entrepreneurs, agricultural machinery contractors and crop protection experts who actively utilize new technologies. Their farms will serve as pilot sites for the project. The EIP group collaborates with research projects and organizations. The target group includes agricultural entrepreneurs and machinery contractors in the project area. Indirect beneficiaries include farmers and contractors across the country, advisors, and the research sector. The applicant for the project is the Federation of Education in Central Ostrobothnia with Isohuumosen Tila Oy as a co-implementer. The project will be carried out in the regions of Central and Northern Ostrobothnia during the years 2026–2028. 88150.86 111349.14 5502

This often leads to stress and fatigue, negatively impacting farm operations and profitability. While digital systems generate substantial production data, much of the daily work remains undocumented. The AgriTime project pilots digital technologies to manage work data and support labor development on farms. The aim is to automatically collect employee-specific data on daily observations, time usage, task allocation, and workload. Data collection tools include wearable cameras, smart devices, sensors, and speech recognition. AI processes the data into reports for management and organizes observations into reminders or instructions. The project develops an innovative method for agile work data collection and structuring, supporting farm labor development and documentation. This creates a foundation for data-driven management and commercial solutions, while raising awareness of the benefits of improving work practices. Led by Työtehoseura ry, with Centria University of Applied Sciences as co-implementer, the project includes three farms in the EIP innovation group. The group actively contributes to planning, piloting, and evaluation. AgriTime is a national EIP project running from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2027. 112143.99 148655.99 0

The application enables the collection and evaluation of data on soil fertility and allows farmers to track the results of their own experimental farming activities over both short and long-term periods. It provides users with a comprehensive overview of soil condition, trends, and the impact of improvement measures. The application utilizes open data map resources, meaning publicly available geospatial datasets. It consists of two parts: a mobile field tool for on-site observations and a browser-based mapping service. The Fieldmap application can be used as a tool for farmers in planning farming practices that enhance soil health, as well as in agricultural advisory services, education, and inspiring young farmers. The project is implemented in close collaboration with farmers, educational institutions, and experts in the regions of Southwest Finland and South Ostrobothnia. The results will be widely accessible through the Fieldmap application for all those who are interested in soil health. The project is coordinated by Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences (SeAMK), with Luke, Livia, and Gispo Suomi Oy as co-implementers representing the EIP expert group. Additionally, the EIP group includes an innovation team composed of primary agricultural producers. 107904.88 143036.71

The MOVI project is implemented by Natural Resources Institute Finland Luke and Finnish Geospatial Research Institute FGI together with an innovation group consisting of pure oat farmers. The project will be implemented in the years 2025-2027 in the region of South Ostrobothnia. Accurate drone images and artificial intelligence are used for identification and positioning, applying the results and modeling obtained in previous projects. In assisting foreign grain removing, a mobile-based solution is being piloted in cooperation with a group of farmers, first of all, where a person is guided on the optimal route to found foreign grains. In the second section, automatic removing of foreign grains is developed using a cutter attached to the drone. In addition to method development, the goal is to create an entire service concept together with the innovation group, as well as make a commercialization plan so that the service can be widely used by farmers. The primary beneficiaries of the project are pure oat producers. Buyers and processors of pure oats also benefit. More broadly, the project will benefit consumers and especially celiacs because by automating the production of pure oats 107195.46 142096.33

In RDA, the farm’s veterinarian conducts a necropsy directly on the farm and a pathologist provides a diagnosis remotely based on the findings and samples collected during the necropsy. This approach addresses challenges associated with transporting cattle for necropsy, improving diagnostic services regardless of the farm’s location. It enables producers to receive assistance in resolving on-farm issues even when sending animals for necropsy is not feasible. Quick and accurate diagnoses allow for timely interventions, leading to shorter illness durations and reduced mortality rates. Animal welfare improves and producer losses decrease. The project will pilot RDA model by creating guidelines and training for producers, veterinarians, and veterinary pathologist. Based on results, a final RDA model will be established. In the future, these practices may be expanded to include RDA model of other livestock. The project benefits producers, animals, the industry, consumers, and the environment by promoting animal health and welfare, longevity, profitability, sustainability, and one health. The innovation partners include producers, MTK, industry representatives, veterinarians, and experts from the University of Helsinki and Honkajoki Oy. Producers are well informed throughout the project. The duration of the project is 1.1.25- 31.8.27. 167967.24 222654.26

The first application analyzes the normal soundscape of the stable and warns of sudden changes in the soundscape, as well as investigates the effect of roughage feeding on the horses’ behavior. The application enables monitoring of horses, for example, cheaper than camera surveillance and with less work. Another application observes the sounds in the horse’s intestines and identifies deviations in the sounds. The application enables daily monitoring of the situation at home and the transition from treatment of illness to preventive health care. The applications improve the well-being of the horses, reduce the stable keeper’s workload, save costs and bring added value to the farmer who produces roughage. The project is implemented by the Suomen Hevostietokeskus ry and Savonia University of Applied Sciences. The project’s innovation group includes a plant farm, horse stables, experts in horse care, well-being and health, as well as stable environment and technology. 151273.08 200524.8
