The EU CAP Network seminar ’Innovative tools for advisors’ was held on March 19-20, 2026, in Dublin, Ireland, highlighting several innovative tools designed to assist agricultural advisors across Europe. A variety of tools were categorized into clusters such as Sustainability, Organizational, Sharing, and Renewal tools. Notable tools include the AgrisatWebGIS® platform from Spain, which offers satellite-based crop monitoring, and the Aid for N-Fertilization in Belgium, designed to enhance nitrogen management for crops. In the Organizational tools cluster, Finland’s Advisor Search tool enables farmers to find suitable advisors easily, while Italy’s EvaInnova assesses the sustainability of agricultural investments.

Sharing tools like AgILe TECH from Ireland focus on collaborative peer-to-peer learning among farmers, and the Farming for Climate platform aims to promote climate-smart practices in agriculture. Renewal tools such as the Farm Succession Support Package from Ireland and the Farm Succession Platform from the Netherlands address generational transition challenges in farming. The seminar underscored the importance of integrating diverse knowledge and support systems for improving agricultural practices while fostering sustainability and resilience in the sector. Additionally, the tools presented illustrate the collaborative efforts funded by the European Union to advance agricultural advisory services and share best practices across member states. Each tool is readily available or in an advanced stage of development, ensuring accessibility for advisors and farmers alike.
