This webinar brings together real-life stories and practical insights from across Europe on how these barriers can be overcome.
The webinar will allow participants to explore how farmers, advisors, and networks can:
- Stay innovative even when funding or time are scarce
- Build and maintain collaboration between research, advisory, and farming communities
- Support peer learning and technology adoption
- Foster an entrepreneurial and “where there’s a will, there’s a way” mindset
We will start with a personal story from Arta Zikmane a Latvian farmer on overcoming barriers and finding the path to success with newly established farm.This will be followed by insights from Petri Linna a member of Finnish Smart Farming Thematic Group on keeping collaboration alive beyond projects. An example from Jane Mättik from the Estonian Beef Breeders Association Estonia will showcase how advisors and farmers can be supported to explore new technologies in practice through study trips. Finally, Djessie Donkers, a Dutch advisor, will share his perspective on how farmers keep innovating without confirmed external funding.
