WoWs: Harnessing the power of the many and their exchange in digital space

Innovation in agriculture grows stronger when people connect, share, and learn from one another. Across Europe, advisors, researchers, farmers, and AKIS practitioners benefit from digital spaces where ideas travel fast, inspiration spreads, and collaboration can become easier.

The Webinars on Wednesdays (WoW) series is one of the practical ways modernAKIS and ATTRACTISS work together to strengthen innovation support systems across Europe.

Join us for a 90-minute WoW session that highlights how shared digital learning spaces — WoW webinars and the akisConnect platform as a showcase — enable AKIS actors to collaborate, exchange knowledge, and put new insights into practice.

Together, we will explore how advisors, innovation support services, and networks can:

• Make use of shared digital tools to improve collaboration, training, and knowledge flow
• Learn from peers across Europe through WoW webinars and apply the insights in real-life innovation work
• Use digital platforms to support advisory work, co-creation, innovation brokering, and multi-actor collaboration

We begin with a look behind the scenes of the WoW series — how it started, what we have achieved so far, and what to expect in 2026. We also explore how the collaboration between modernAKIS and ATTRACTISS enriches the content and expands the community of AKIS actors.

You will hear practical insights on how digital tools support AKIS coordination, advisory capacity building, and innovation-support processes across Europe. We will hear from an active member of aksiConnect network on his experience on how WoW webinars and other digital exchanges have shaped his real-world innovation activities — from advisory experimentation and co-creation to peer learning initiatives.

We continue with a short introduction to freshly launched akisConnect Forum as a digital tool for continuous exchange. Followed by a testimony from a pioneer advisor how to utilise the Forum to engage with peers online and how it has helped them find solutions, gain new perspectives, and strengthen their innovation practice.

Finally, we explore how everyday digital tools — from WhatsApp groups to Facebook communities — support practical learning, networking, and quick problem-solving in the daily life on farm.

This interactive WoW session brings together participants from across Europe to exchange experiences, reflect on digital collaboration, and get inspired by the power of the many.
